We know looking after a horse takes a lot of time. And if you have more than one horse it simply becomes impossible. With mygoodhorse it will be easy.
We own and compete our own horses (well my daughter competes them). We love them and want to make sure they are always healthy and happy. To make sure they always are at their best we need to be consistent and do the right things at the right time but it can be quite difficult keeping all the details together - we have used whiteboards, notebooks and diaries which can work but are not the best.
We needed a better way, so we built mygoodhorse.
mygoodhorse holds all the information about your horse (or up to 10 horses), its feeds - which you can build out by adding from our list of hard feeds and supplements or add your own feed items: health - including feeds, rugs and services such as shoeing, worming, dentist, chiro etc; training programs and competitions and adds these to the calendar that shows you exactly what needs to be done today, this week, this month or any time in the future.
The horse information is saved in the cloud and is available at all times via your phone. When you don’t have internet (like when your with your horse) you can still see your schedules, make changes and take notes and it will sync when you next connect. Record each horse’s details (as little as just the horse Name or as much as you like) - Name and show name, registration number, microchip - sire, dam, DOB - breed, colour, weight, height and markings - even what your horse loves and hates
See your whole plan daily, weekly or monthly on the calendar Share the days training or feed schedule with others (when you can’t be there) Adjust a calendar item when there is a change
Build up your training program. Add activities for each day to build a comprehensive training plan for up to 13 weeks. And you can have more than one training plan.
Detail each horse's daily feeds including supplements. Schedule shoeing, worming, vaccinations, vet checks, even the Chiro Make rugging more consistent with details of which rug and when. NOW get morning and night rug notifications based on weather forecast. Share the daily feeds and rugs with other people when you are away
Your phone contacts are available in the app. Keep a record of all your tack and know exactly which items are used for which horse and for what purpose. And record the tack that isn't horse specific too (like floats).

No, not at all – it will work with just some of your details then just one horses name. But you can add details over time with ease to build up a full detail of all your horses.
No, but you can try the 1-2 horse level free for the first month – we only start billing after one month. You can cancel anytime.
Yes, we have a Help page which has the basic "How to" information.
We hope the app is quite intuitive but to use it fully will require some time initially but this will save you time in the long run.
We'll be adding more Help as more users join.
Yes, our latest update added rug/blanket notifications each morning and night based on your local weather. It also created versions for the US and UK too.

Yes, our horses have lots of different supplements and we know that other horse owners swear by the supplements and having them all in your feed list makes it much easier. You can easily add supplements at any time and change them as needed.
Not usually – we recommend that when you are loading the horse information it is best to have a good connection. Then you can make notes and see your calendars even if you aren’t connected at all – the app will sync the next time you connect.
